A Ethale Publishing participou do AfroLit Sans Frontieres

A quarta temporada do Afrolit Sans Frontières, o festival literário que abrange o mundo dos escritores negros, decorreu de 29 de junho a 6 de julho de 2020.

O autor de Moçambique, Melio Tinga, cujo livro de estreia O Voo dos Fantasmas foi publicado pela Ethale Publishing em 2018, representou Moçambique no evento. A Ethale Publishing foi parceira do festival.

Afrolit Sans Frontières, um festival literário virtual para escritores de origem africana, foi fundado pelo autor e editor Zukiswa Wanner como resultado dos bloqueios internacionais da pandemia de Covid-19. O formato do festival é duas sessões por dia no Instagram Live com um artista moderado por um apresentador que também responde a perguntas dos membros da platéia. Houve três edições até agora; Temporada 1 de 23 a 30 de março, Temporada 2 de 20 a 27 de abril e Temporada 3 de 25 de maio a 1 de junho.

A quarta temporada, com foco em escritores de contos e poetas, teve o tema "To Cut A Long Story Short". Foi com curadoria do fundador do festival, Zukiswa Wanner, com a participação de Cifordom, Ethale Publishing e Peripherals, que ajudaram a encontrar artistas de língua francesa e portuguesa. O festival continuou sua tradição de contratar escritores negros de várias nações, com 16 escritores de 12 cidades ao redor do mundo. O continente africano reuniu a maior parte dos convidados com artistas da Nigéria, Quênia, África do Sul, Moçambique, Libéria e Camarões. Também houve convidados do Canadá, EUA, Brasil e Martinica em um show diversificado do Blackness.

Season 4 of Afrolit Sans Frontières, the literary festival spanning the Black writing world, ran from June 29 to July 6, 2020.

Afrolit Sans Frontières, a virtual literary festival for writers of African origin, was founded by author and publisher Zukiswa Wanner as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic international lockdowns. The festival format is two sessions a day on Instagram Live with an artist moderated by a host who also fields questions from audience members. There have been three editions so far; Season 1 from March 23-30, Season 2 from April 20-27, and Season 3 from May 25 – June 1.

Season 4, with a focus on short story writers and poets, had the theme “To Cut A Long Story Short”. It was curated by festival founder Zukiswa Wanner with the participation of Cifordom, Ethale Publishing and Peripherals who helped source French and Portuguese speaking artists. The festival continued its tradition of sourcing Black writers from a variety of nations with 16 writers streaming from 12 cities around the world. The African continent sourced the bulk of the guests with artists from Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Mozambique, Liberia, and Cameroon featuring. There were also guests from Canada, USA, Brazil, and Martinique in a diverse show of Blackness.
