About Author

Lahissane was born in Maputo City, Mozambique, on May 4, 1987, and lives in the city of Xai-Xai. He has a law degree from the School of Economics and Management (ESEG) and is a lawyer at the Provincial Service for Economic Activities (Gaza). He is a teacher who graduated from the ADPP School for Teachers of the Future and has taught in three elementary school (Thocola, Chibabel and Caniçado) in the Guijá District. Co-author of the anthologies "Galicia-Mozambique Numa Linguagem e Numa Sinfonía" (published in Galicia Spain), "Coletânea Internacional Inspiração", "Vozes do Vento", "Folhas do Plátano", "Olhar Infinito", (published in Brazil), "Fique em Casa Amor", (published by the Xitende Cultural Association in 2020), "Poemas para Ler em tempos de Quarentema" (Organized by the Poetic Group Momento de Reflexão and Almeida Editorial, based in Brazil). In July 2020, she coordinated the poetry anthology "19 Letters to Covid19", publishing 19 authors from Xitende. In 2017, he received the Outstanding Literary Award at the 27th International Poetry Competition organized by the International Literary Academy of Arts, Letters and Science "The Word of the 21st Century", in Brazil. He has published in several national magazines. He is a contributor to the Correio da Palavra newspaper, published monthly in Brazil, and in 2018 he became a contributor to the Portuguese magazine InComunidade. His texts and photographs are published by the magazine Mapas do Confinamento, which brings together various authors from around the world. In October 2019 she took part in the first meeting of Poetas del Mundo in Africa and Mozambique as a corresponding member of the Poetas del Mundo movement in Gaza.
In May 2020 she participated virtually in the IV Encuentro Internacional de Poetas en Ipiales organized by the poets of Colombia. Between 2015 and 2021, he was the Delegate of the Xitende Cultural Association in the Chókwè Delegation, organizing cultural events, book fairs and poetry competitions among students from secondary schools in the Chówkè and Guijá Districts. His recitations are broadcast on a Portuguese podcast called Dias Úteis. He is a corresponding academician of the International Literary Academy of Arts, Letters and Science - ALPAS 21, based in the city of Cruz Alta in Brazil, with chair number 23. He received an honorable mention for his poem "Angústia" in the Republic of Honduras in Central America in 2020. In 2016 he created a group made up of children from the village of Caniçado, called "Os Bardos de Guijá" (The Bards of Guijá), dedicated to poetry recitation, dance, singing and theater. He is a photographer and founder of the "Fotografar Moçambique" project, which has more than 35,000 followers. Since 2015 he has co-organized the Xai-Xai International Poetry Festival.
