Mauro Brito, 32, is a writer and pilot. In 2017, he published his first collection of poems for children, Passos de Magia ao Sol, illustrated by Bárbara Marques, published by Escola Portuguesa de Moçambique.
He collaborates with magazines and newspapers and works as a creative editor. His passion extends to environmental activism. He is currently studying for his Commercial Pilot's License at the Lowveld Aero Club.
He released his second title: O Luminoso Vôo das Palavras, ed. Kuvaninga in Mozambique and Katarina Kartonera in Brazil, in 2019. In November 2021, she ventured into her first work in the short story genre with A Estranha metamorfose de Thandi, published by Escola Portuguesa de Moçambique.
In September 2022, he embarked on a challenging adventure with Ethale Publishing, as Editorial Director, to lend his work to the cause of literacy and literature in the country and beyond.
