The author of the book "Kwashala Blues" (Ethale Publishing, 2023), Jessemusse Cacinda, is taking part in the 2023 edition of the Textemunhos Festival to be held between October 12 and 14 at the Lamego Museum in Portugal.
This year's edition of the festival features a line-up that focuses on the diversification and internationalization of the panel of guests, for a dialogue that is intended to extend to other fields of artistic expression, between the Museum and Literature.
Cacinda will join Portuguese writer Isabela Figueiredo (author of Cadernos Coloniais) on Friday evening for a talk on "Literature - Memory and Imagination in Conspiracy".
Jessemusse Cacinda's book, Kwashala Blues, is a journey through the physical and mental landscapes of its narrator who, on his return to the city of Nampula on the occasion of his father's death, triggers emotional and philosophical memories around various human issues, at the intersection of poetry and music.
